MP - Media Protection
(MP-1) Media Protection Policy and Procedures
The university develops, disseminates, and periodically reviews/updates formal, documented procedures to facilitate the implementation of the Media Protection policy and associated Media Protection controls.
(MP-2) Media Access
This University restricts access to removable computer media to authorized individuals.
(MP-6) Media Sanitization
Media sanitization refers to information system media subject to disposal or reuse, whether or not the media is removable. This includes media in scanners, copiers, printers, laptop computers, workstations, network components and mobile devices (e.g., hard drives, flash drives, and other storage media).
(MP-7) Media Use
The University restricts the use of removable computer media and end user devices with information storage capability, in accordance with risk management decisions.
