Spirion DLP Uninstallation Guide

Overview

Prior to the implementation of Proofpoint Endpoint DLP, the supported DLP solution was Spirion Sensitive Data Platform. The following guide will aid in the removal of this tool from your managed endpoints. As we no longer have a contractual agreement to manage and maintain Spirion agents, they should be removed from University devices.

Uninstall Files and Instructions

Detection and uninstallation for Spirion has been bundled into the install scripts for Proofpoint Endpoint DLP, which can be found at tamu-edu/ProofpointDLP-Deployment

This repo has been made available to all TAMU Git users. If the person/group needing the install files has not yet set up their Git account, they will need to first claim a TAMU Git account. Otherwise, this repo is open to the TAMU community at large. The repo contains an uninstall script which may be used with ManageEngine, SCCM, or Intune as appropriate.

Additional Information

Information technology professionals may contact endpoint-security@tamu.edu to request departmental access to the Proofpoint DLP console, obtain access to the repository containing the DLP software, troubleshoot issues uninstalling the Spirion agent, or ask any other questions pertaining to the DLP program.
